Since 1971, the Otorohanga Kiwi House & Native Bird Park has been actively contributing to national and international education and conservation projects.
We are currently moving into a transition and development phase to rejuvenate the park in order to provide new and exciting visitor experiences.
Part of this development is a proposed
- The alpine tundra inhabited by the Kea (the world's smartest parrot)
- The forest canopy inhabited by the Kaka (New Zealand's forest parrot).
We also have a range of smaller projects that may require your help.
Watch this page for updates or send us an email for more information. We'd love to hear from you.
